Purpose

Sentinels: Suicide Ideation Awareness is a weblog about suicide awareness and prevention. Our group wants to make a difference by advocating for this awareness and extending our help to people who are suffering from mental issues that lead to suicide ideation. We want our group to empathize with people who have psychological problems, mental inconsistencies, and depression to give them hope and healing for the future. Suicide Ideation is adamant in the Philippines, because of our conservative and happy culture many Filipinos neglect the importance of mental health. Especially the parents, usually they dismiss their children’s mental needs and label them as “nag-iinarte” which is insensitive to say to a person who is already depressed.
